It's National Mentoring Month

January 1st marks the first day of National Mentoring Month. Nationwide, programs are

honoring mentors for their service and the impact they’re making on our youth. And while we are honoring these mentors for their hard work and dedication to a terrific cause, we also would like to recruit new mentors.

Living Legends Mentoring Program is looking to match caring, respectful adults (ages 18 & up) in the community with wonderful young girls ages 13-18 for child-and-teen focused activities, that are fun, engaging, meaningful, and allow our young girls to uncover their sparks: their interest and passions.

Please join us our recruiting Block Party on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Birmingham Urban League 1229 3rd Ave N. Birmingham, Alabama 35203.

As mentors we want to build a positive relationship with young girls in order to help them reach their full potential. The role of a mentor is not to be a tutor or a counselor, but to encourage and support the strengths and talents of their mentee.
